We have to keep in mind one thing: Most critics don’t do anything. They can’t create anything, so what they do is they criticize. They dump on things. This has been throughout time. They did the same thing to Dizzy Gillespie and Charles Parker and John Coltrane. I’ve always figured that the critics were probably reincarnations of the mob that crucified Christ.
